VISUAL ARCHIVE & DISCOVERY

VISUAL ARCHIVE & DISCOVERY
The àrà archive exists to honor Nigerian and African fashion craft, indigenous textile preservation, and contemporary haute couture innovation. Our community standards ensure the archive remains a trusted global reference.
We celebrate verified craftsmanship—handwoven Aso Oke, Abeokuta indigo Adire Eleko, tailored Agbada, and contemporary corsetry. Every monograph submission must accurately attribute the designer, tailor, textile weaver, and photographer where known.
Curator submissions must feature clean, high-resolution photography (minimum 2, maximum 10 images) demonstrating fabric weave, structure, and drape. Distorted, pixelated, or heavily watermarked submissions will not pass verification.
Harassment, discriminatory remarks, cultural disparagement, or offensive commentary will result in immediate suspension and revocation of curator privileges.
No counterfeit merchandise, non-fashion advertisements, unsolicited spam, or commercial dropshipping listings are permitted.
